Youth Saving Account
You can open an MCCU Youth Saving Account with as little as $5. A $50 minimum balance is required to have additional products or services (not including MCCU Online). Youth Saving Accounts are available for those 17 years of age and under. With this type of account you have the opportunity to qualify for drawings both quarterly and annually. You will receive a quarterly statement and a lifetime membership to Marshall Community Credit Union. To open a Youth Saving Account, contact MCCU today.

Program Timeframe
- Marshall Community Credit Union will accept applications and essays until Monday, December 14, 2009.
- Winners will be notified no later than Monday, December 28, 2009.
- Financial literacy sessions will take place in January 16, 2010.
- Budgeting sessions will take place in February 20, 2010.
- The savings phase of the Financially Made program will begin on Friday, January 1, 2010 and end on Wednesday, March 31, 2010.
- Celebration ceremony will be held at MCCU (Marshall location) on Friday, April 16, 2010.
- Matching funds will be deposited by Friday, April 16, 2010.

Attention all Youth!
Never seem to have enough money for the things you want? Marshall Community Credit Union has just the thing for you. If you are age 13 through 17 and are eligible for membership (or are already a member) you could receive a youth loan.
This loan service is intended to help young people establish a credit history with the credit union while helping them to purchase clothing, bicycles, holiday and birthday gifts, musical instruments, sports equipment, or for any worthwhile purpose.
The youth must have regular income from verifiable sources, and documentation is required for all sources of income. Parent's knowledge or consent is required, but parents are not required to act as co-signers.

Types of Loans/Rates:
Installment Loans:
Maximum $500
Maximum term of 24 months
Interest Rate
Without a co-signer is equal to the unsecured rate for "no credit score"; C grade.
With a co-signer, based on unsecured rate schedule with a co-signer.
Visa:
Co-signer Required = $500 limit - interest rate is based upon the parent/guardian's credit score.
*Must have a co-signer for a credit card, co-signer must provide documentation necessary for the loan officer to verifty the ability to repay.
Youth Loan are not reported to the credit reporting agencies.

A Tour is an Educational Opportunity at MCCU
Did you know that Marshall Community Credit Union offers group tours to area schools and youth groups? Groups of 25 or less are welcome. Each tour includes:
- A short presentation about money
- Discussion about the difference of a Credit Union and a Bank
- Visit to the Drive-Thru/Teller area
- Visit to Vault and Coin Counter
