1. Keep your passwords secure, and confidential.
2. Keep your browsers and operating systems up to date.
3. When using a secure socket layer, SSL or https://, make sure you only have the SSL 3.0 checked.  Uncheck the SSL 2.0 and the TSL 1.0, this will keep you at a more secure level.  On Internet Explorer this can be accessed by clicking Tools, Internet Options, and then clicking the Advanced tab.  Next scroll down until you see Security.
4. When on a secure page there should be a lock icon at the bottom of the page.  When you click it, it will show you the certificate from the website.  Next look for an icon form VeriSign and click it to display the certificate from that web site.  The website address and validation dates should match.  If the website information differs, then do not Use that site.
5. Use antivirus software and keep current with updates.

6. Use multiple antispyware.  Free software is available online.

MCCU Online has been developed to function best with Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 service pack 2 or higher.  We recommend that you always use the latest versions and patches to insure that your system cannot be compromised.  You can automatically download and install patches at this Microsoft site:

Netscape v6 will work best in the non-frame version but there are some minor issues.  Opera has not been tested.

Duel password protection is also required to ensure account information is not access by unauthorized users.
