Who can enter the Kindness Cash Challenge?

Members of Marshall Community Credit Union who are between the ages of 12 and 17 can enter.

How do I enter?

Complete the entry form (linked above or pick up at any MCCU branch) and tell us how you would use $160 to spread kindness in your community. Submit your entry no later than August 15, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. ET.

What kind of kindness projects are you looking for?

We're looking for creative, thoughtful, and impactful ideas! You might:

  • Buy supplies to clean up a park
  • Create care packages for animal shelters or seniors
  • Host a kindness event at school
  • Help a neighbor or friend in need
  • Mow the lawns in your neighborhood

Your project should aim to make a positive difference using the $160.

Do I have to spend the money in a certain way?

Yes. If you're selected, you must use the $160 only for the kindness project you described in your application.

How and when will I know if I’ve been selected?

Winners will be notified no later than one week after submission via the contact information provided on the entry form. Submissions will be evaluated upon receipt and awards given on a first come, first serve basis. There is no guarantee funds will be available up to August 15, 2025.

When do I need to complete my project?

All projects should be completed by September 15, 2025, so we can share stories of kindness in October for CU Kind Day (October 13).

My child is not a member, but I am. Can they still participate?

To participate in the Kindness Cash Challenge, the applicant (the child) must be a member of Marshall Community Credit Union. If your child is not currently a member, you can open an account online or at any branch location.
