MCCU Scholarships

At MCCU, we’re proud to support the next generation by investing in their educational goals. Each year, we award scholarships to graduating high school seniors planning to attend a college, university, trade, or technical school in the United States.

Deadline

Submit completed application and all supplemental materials by 11:59 pm ET on Wednesday, April 1, 2026. No exceptions.

Scholarship Details

  • Award: $2,500 toward tuition at a U.S. college, university, trade, or technical school.
  • Payment: One-time payment directly to the chosen institution.
  • Number of Scholarships: Up to ten awarded in 2026.

Recipient Qualifications

Applicants must:

  • Be a 2026 graduating high school senior—public, private, or homeschool—within MCCU’s field of membership.
  • Be an MCCU member in good standing (good standing is defined as not negative or overdue).
  • Plan to attend a U.S. college, university, trade, or technical school.

Requirements

  • Complete the 2026 MCCU Scholarship Application.
  • Complete the 2026 MCCU Scholarship Acknowledgement Page.
  • Provide a current transcript to verify enrollment or homeschool progress.
  • Provide two letters of recommendation from individuals who can speak to your character, work ethic, and accomplishments (i.e., employers, coaches, instructors, mentors, or other adults familiar with your academic, extracurricular, or volunteer activities).
  • Complete essay or video answering all prompts.

MCCU Mini-Grants

MCCU offers grants to assist school personnel dedicated to the challenging task of educating children.

Our mini-grant program is available to teachers and faculty in K-12 schools within the following counties: Barry, Branch, Calhoun, Eaton, Hillsdale, Jackson, Kalamazoo, and St. Joseph. 

Applicants do not need to be MCCU members to apply for or receive grant funding.

Mini-grants are limited to a maximum of $750 per faculty member per school year.

Grant requests will be reviewed and approved by the MCCU’s Marketing Department every two months.

Mini-Grant Schedule:

  • January 15th – March 15th- Decision made by April 1st.
  • End of school year – September 15th- Decision made by October 1st.
  • September 15th – November 15th- Decision made by December 1st.
  • November 15th – January 15th- Decision made by February 1st.

*If the 1st falls on a weekend, applicant will be contacted the following Monday.
